What a joy it is to know and be reminded that we are children of God! Brothers and sisters let us continue to live our daily lives in this way, not to look to the left or to the right, but to focus on the Father who has loved us from the start - YEAH!!

Hello brothers and sisters,
As we start this new year and new semester in 2008, we will have our Fast Forward events on the following dates on Thursdays in January: 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, and 1/31. These will be wonderful times of learning and worshiping with the community of God as we continue to grow in our walk with the Lord!
These will be held at our Ministry Center in Elkridge. Please talk to your small group leader if you have any questions. Hope to see you there!

John 15:16 “I am chosen by Christ to bear fruit.”
As a child of God, living in His house, we live according to His Word. Many times we hear that in the way we live we see what is produced is according to our hearts that is constantly being influenced by many things. May our hearts bear fruit of God’s love. May our acts show who He is, so that in His mercy and righteousness, others may know true love. As we have received this love, may it overflow, because He says that we are to produce fruit from Him that others may live!

Ephesians 3:12 “Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.”
Truly it is because of Christ and our faith in him that we can come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. What a privilege this is as children of God that no matter what we’re going through, we can live in the peace and presence of God. Let’s pray for our community that during this time of finishing up with finals and entering into break, we would be a community that enters into God’s presence boldly and confidently. Let’s pray that as we experience God’s presence with us, we will be one’s who will bring God’s presence to others.

Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live is Christ’s life”
Yes! Christ lives in you and me! This is real living. The old way we used to live is all gone and now it’s Jesus Christ who lives out His life in us. Everything in us wants God more and more and wants the old life less and less. This is God’s power and truth and it shows how much He loves us. Together, let’s embrace this life and look forward to this new way of living.

1 Corinthians 12:27 “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.”
God has created each of us with a special set of gifts and talents and has graciously brought us together to be the many parts that form the body of Christ. It is the same Spirit of God living in each of us that allows us to relate to and care for one another despite our differences. Let’s be thankful for how God created us so wonderfully and fearfully and even more so the unity that we have in Christ.
